This quote replies feature is helpful when we are chatting in a group chat. You can quote a message when you are replying in a group so that it makes it easy for all the other group members to know which message you are referring to actually. This new feature also works for one-to-one chats.

To use this feature, select a message by long pressing that particular message, you will see an additional dialog box on the top menu bar with a reply arrow. Just select that and your message will be quoted.

So think, there are 920+ million users and each one paid $1, this is a huge profit for WhatsApp. In India, this subscription fees are not appropriate but it started in other countries.
