Google Celebrate Valentine's Day 2016 with Romantic Doodle

Google is not only a Search Giant but also popular for alerting people about various memorable day. And they alert about memorable day by using Doodles, which is known as Google doodle. Formerly we have seen Google is serving different doodle in international memorable days including new years and other, now Google is celebrating Valentine�s Day with a romantic doodle. This years Google has released 3 doodles at a time on Valentine's Day 2016.

First doodle is about two pots (cartoon character) with romantic gesture. Those two pots appeared romantic with deep relationship. First pot apparently for coffee and wanders up to the second. And the second pot is a tea pot. You can say relationship between coffee and tea. The coffee pot pulls a red rose from behind its back and hands it to tea pot. As a result teapot begins blushing and boiling always as its temperature rises.  This seems to me the powers of love for each other. After getting red rose from coffee pot it become red and hot.  In this doodle coffee pot playing a role of male and tea pot is playing female character. You can see the beautiful doodle from below.

In second doodle you will see a relationship between 2 tissues toilet tissue roll and box tissue. I think this is just for fun.  After receiving gift from box tissue toilet tissue become emotional.

And in third Doodle it seems to me to starting a relationship between cactus tree and Porcupine. Both of them have thorn but cactus has given a surprise by bringing a gift for Porcupine. As a result Porcupine become happy and hug cactus. Finally both of them are in romantic gesture.

Whatever! This is all about celebrating Valentine�s Day with Google search engine users. This is a great effort for entertaining their users. It just made their search engine more fun to use and made memorable for special person on special day. I hope you would love it after watching the Google doodle.

However Valentine�s Day may not be everyone�s favorite holiday, but Google�s approach to celebrating it is pretty adorable.

An update on Google Blogger�s Live on Blog Preview

Google is making their platform up to date. As a result they have brought different changes on entire Blogger platform. Now Blogger support many advance coding which was to usable in past. However I love most its script minifying feature. Now we can code any widget more easiest way.

Whatever, from the beginning of Blogger�s journey Google has brought many changes on their dashboard and made it more users friendly. And yesterday I have seen significant changes on Live on Blog section. But this will not affect our Blog and not very important but it will give a fresh look to the older users and new users will attract to see this. Moreover, this has spice up blogger dashboard and help to do blogging more fun way. 

Generally in this section we see the preview after uploading a Blogger template. But most of the cases the template preview box was view able perfectly. Because we could able to see only upper part of our Blogger template.

But after making changes now we can see almost 50% of our Blogger template both in Desktop and mobile preview.

You will see the difference from below screen shots. Formerly the preview box was very small. And template format was not good in Live on Blog preview section.

 But now we can view the template perfectly with well format.

Now you would able to see the new looks of your template preview. Isn�t great? I just love it. I think the concept has taken from WordPress dashboard but brought little changes.

Google is trying to grab the new users by changing their looks and by updating the platform time to time. I appreciate this kind of change. However this news also not very important but for spreading the news I have written this short note. Lol.

Google Doodles for New Year's Eve 2016!

It goes without say that every year we celebrate New Year�s Eve. I hope this year won�t be different. However every sites, company, organization expressing their wishes by doing something different and something new. Some of them released new calendar, wallpapers, or Software Company giving biggest discount on this occasion.

But as a Blogger we should celebrate many ways for our Blog readers. Such as by releasing new widget, Template or giving something free of cost. Anyway, the most dominating search engine Google wishing to the entire search visitors through then website by using Google doodles.

This is not any special or new to Google Fan. I am sure that you have seen many Google doodles on various occasions. Similarly for the New Year 2016 Google has released another new Google doodle which can be seen by visiting google.com page.

What�s new this Year?

Every year Google doodle design with something new design. And this year Google doodle is very simple. 5 birds are waiting for hatching eggs that when it will come out. And another bird is frequently following the watch. This is really beautiful. Here GOOGLE is written with 6 letters and 5 birds means GOOG*E and after hatching the 6^th Bird the GOOGLE word will be complete. I think 31^st Night 12 A.M 6^th Bird will be visible. This is the mystery here. So they have kept us waiting to see the 6^thBird. This is really cool Idea.

Google bring smashing features on Google maps. Google�s Jeff Huber officially announced that Google Maps Application now searching for faster route.

Suppose we can go from one destination to another destination in different way but Google Maps Application from now constantly search for fastest route where traveler can go through shortest way quickly. This update have brought on iOS version of Google Maps app.

While you are driving the new Google Maps app (iOS Version) will send you notification if it found any fastest route. That means now you would able to save more time and money. This is currently released only iOS version 2.6.0 and you would also get Android version of this application.

However this apps is very popular after releasing with new features announcement. Within one day total number of apps download over 10 million times.

Google AdWords included Search Funnels Attribution Modeling Tool

We have already got news about new looks of Google Adwords which made more easy to create and publish ads. Google continuously improving all of their product portfolio this is the result of new look of Google Adwords. Recently Google has announced that they are integrating Search Funnels Attribution Modeling Tool with Google Adwords. And this tool will help marketers to better  understand their AdWords campaign.

Google Adwords user can see five attribution models in their account and compare the attribution model for analyzing keywords, Ad groups and campaign. Initially 3 attribution models can be analyze at a time for better keyword analyze. However you can't get last click conversions.

The main features of Search Funnel's five attribution models in the new tool are:

• Last click: It will gives all credit for the conversion to the last-clicked keyword.
• First click: Similarly this indicate all credit for the conversion to the first-clicked keyword.
• Linear: The linear represent distributes of the credit for the conversion equally across all clicks on the path.
• Time decay: Time decay will gives more credit to clicks that happened closer in time to the conversion.
• Position-based: This is combination of the first- and last-clicked keyword where it will gives 40% of credit to both the first- and last-clicked keyword and with the remaining 20% spread out across the other clicks on the path.

This tool work effectively for advertisers, so those who are advertising through AdWords they should stay tuned for this amazing tools. From Google official site we have got news that Search Funnels Attribution Modeling Tool already rolled out but I just checked my account still didn't get this tool. Hopefully over the week most of the Google Adwords account holder will able to see the tools for using. 

Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer reveal Updates Its Local Search Results

Yahoo was very popular with their search engine but their reputation dimmed time to time due to raise of rival search engine Google. However finally they Alliance their search engine with Microsoft's Bing search engine but whenever a searcher make query Yahoo redirect to Bing search engine, but this integration badly impact on Yahoo.

Recently yahoo's CEO Marissa Mayer reveal Updates Its Local Search Results. They are initially working on two scheme to re-energize Yahoo into organic and potentially paid search. And the whole scheme are detach from  Microsoft.

Those Yahoo Updates on Local Search Results will make their search engine more reliable and strong.  You can see on above image that about local search data displaying on Yahoo search engine with location map. This feature us really helpful for local buyer and searcher. But this concept first implement by Google which is known as Google place. Similarly now we will get detail data about local stores and business available data which will help local US people. According to Yahoo "A Beautiful Day in Your Neighborhood", and right now this search result working perfectly on USA. Hopefully Yahoo will extend this service among others countries very soon.

Yahoo already announcement on their official website that-

Though yahoo is now much backward than Google but they are planning to beat them on Mobile search. If Yahoo can provide right content and user experience on their search engine they there has a possibility to generate new �search� usage and ad revenue from mobile.  However most of the concept are deriving from Google and Yahoo borrowing this for their improvement. Formerly Yahoo has brought responsive mail concept from Google and successfully occupy a better place on Android devices.    

Have you heard of the party game �As the Crow Flies?�

Google is naming their different algorithm according to different animal. We have already heard Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird etc but all of are for introducing their algorithm. The new edition of Google animal is crows.  Don't worry this will not penalize any blog or website, rather Goggle used this name for their new search feature. This is not engage with any Google algorithm or SEO. Got a question on Google Plus official page that Have you heard of the party game �As the Crow Flies?� and simply answered not but Google has just made it.

The main feature of Crows is distance calculation, this is one of features of Google's OneBox. Google's OneBox utilize for presenting instant answers to search queries instead of presenting links. And this OneBox is now able to answer distance between two remote place.

In Google Plus site I found a statement that-

This �as the crow flies� distance is a new Google Search feature that works for far-flung locales, beyond what you can drive or walk.

However if you ask while you are driving from you won't get any answer from �as the crow flies�. You will get the distance measured from one place to another. Suppose type how far is it from honolulu to oslo then it will displau the distance from Honolulu to Oslo.

More interestingly Google has released a app for both iOS and Android where you can use your voice for searching the specific palce. But don't worry it will work on your Desktop computer.

Google AdWords new design save your time significantly

In 2014 Google has taken some serious job to redesign and reshape their some existing products to make those more user friendly. Google AdWords one of them most significant product that going to change with its new appearance which has just rolling out. There is another significant changes in their logo now its pretty cool.

There are massive changes brought by Google in AdWords announced by Google where it would be the next beneficiary of a new design. Google AdWordsoffering

In addition Google has said about AdWords update-

Formerly after signing into AdWords account we are used to see ��my account�� but now it turn into a gear icon.

AdWords key campaign information also moved above the fold in dashboard. It helps to minimize scrolling. Moreover multiple users would able to sign in which can be viewed by each other.

According to Goolge they have added more white space with charts and tables which will make easier on the eyes because of softer color used. Now statistical data can be viewed more clearly and easily. You can create display ads very easily.

Though Google has released a video clip on YouTube. It�s better to watch it for live view.

Facebook News Feed Algorithm Change hurt businesses

Facebook recently has brought some changes on individuals and pages in the news feed. They have also officially announced about this matter. But the changes doesn�t benefited to any party especially business. Because it reduced the visibility of page updates.

Earlier to get visibility on news feed was absolutely free and easy but not it will be tough. Facebook may charge for this however business owners don�t want to pay for Facebook advertising only for visibility.

Still Facebook evolving of the news feed as well as trying to track down generally when users log in their account. I think Facebook trying to increase users engagement with interact, image upload and sharing. If a user see more text updates on a profile then their friends will feel interest to increase the number of text on their news feed.

Facebook says that this changes will led to an average of 9 million more status updates everyday by Facebook users.

On the contrary, Facebook noticed that updates from users are more influence that updates from pages. As a result the new changes was not very effective. So now Facebook trying to rank text status from pages rather than users text status. However Facebook is working to improving overall user experience.

So in case of page owners are going to lose visibility of their text status updates whatever they share. For this reason business will hurt by losing organic reach for pages.

What does this mean for page owners? Unfortunately this means that page owners are going to see a decrease in the distribution of their own text status updates they share.

A Facebook spokesman said,

"We expect organic distribution of an individual page's posts to gradually decline over time as we continually work to make sure people have a meaningful experience on the site."

We know that Facebook is going to kill sponsored stories in news stream in April 2014, as a result business have to think once again about promoting their product and brands by using Facebook. There are another change has brought by Facebook that it include a link on the update. This link will automatically insert images from the posts.

However Facebook said these types of updates will help to higher engagement in terms of likes, comments, shares, and clicks. This will make more visually stimulating than text status updates. Eventually business will face problem to reach on desired segment. This means Facebook taking the advantage from advertiser because to get visibility they have to spend on ads and Facebook will generate more revenue than before. As a result this will be a fakebook for Internet marketer.

We know there are a biggest portion of potential buyer come from Facebook without any critical or technical effort and paying but now Facebook marketers have to reexamine the thing that how much they will expend on advertising without increasing product price. 

Google rolled out A Knowledge Graph Popup To Search Results

As a giant search engine Google is familiar to all of us and they are improving the search experience time to time. For this reason constantly Google adding new features on their search engine.

Google formally has announced about a Knowledge Graph Popup that has added intotheir Search Results but still it is running for testing purpose. Those who often make search for more credible information this will tailor them for enhancing their knowledge. Because this popup search result will contain more information from most recognized and distinguished sources. It seems to us pretty cool.

From Google�s Bart Niechwiejhas written about Knowledge Graph Popupin a blog post that-

�You�ll see this extra information when a site is widely recognized as notable online, when there is enough information to show or when the content may be handy for you,�

This Knowledge Graph Popup is heavily dependable onWikipedia information which is most popular and reliable free encyclopedia and it will display the source name after end of the search result. Also source name is clickable and after clicking on there a small popup window will appear with more information.

Though Google has decided to integrate this feature on their search engine so this has already rollout for searchers. But its effect will not positively goes on favor of site owner. Because whenever visitor make search query then they will get the result from Wikipedia or some other notable site instead of general blog or website. For this reason site owner will lose traffic and their rank will drop dramatically.

So if this new search feature becomes popular with searchers then most of the cases site owner or original content writer won�t able to divert traffic into their website. Consequently new blogger or site owner won�t feel interest for blogging or content writing. Beside of this Google Page Rank and Alexa rank also greatly affects. There are many website build for generating revenue from advertisement but they are too unable to generate revenue from their blog because their site or content link on get place at the top of search engine result pages.

However Google�s motive to give better search experience to users to expand their knowledge but they should think about mass blogger and site owner and should find an alternative way to improve this feature without affecting any party.

Expedia lost visibility on search engine by 25 percent

After Google Hummingbird algorithm zillions of blog and website has affected. Mostly visibility on search engine drastically decreased. No matter how popular your site anyhow Google will penalize if your site violate Google quality guideline.

Travel lover familiar with Expedia website. Whenever we search anything travel and tourism Expedia found on top of the Search Engine Result Pages. But unfortunately Expedia lost 25% search visibility on search engine according to search matrix. What can be the reason for that it was not clear to them. Nonetheless discovered that for the rapid cumulative number of unnatural link Expedia penalized by Google. Expedia few month ago has bought paid link and that may be the cause of penalty.

Expedia got huge unusual keyword rich links from various blog and website. But it doesn�t indicate that Expedia has participated in paid links.

About this matter Google�s head of search spam Matt Cutts said that they would discover the reason of penalty.

However yesterday 21st January 2014 both Google and Expedia remain silent. They have told Expedia will not be commenting on this story.

On the other hand Google has told that they typically don�t comment on specific companies regarding search rankings.

This news is really a serious matter and warning to others those who are planning to participate in paid link and those who already participated.  This is time to be careful otherwise your site may be penalize soon and ultimately you will lose traffic, rank, search engine visibility. In addition don�t add unusual keyword to make your blog and website keyword rich to get higher rank in Search Engine Result Pages.

Google Now releasing for Desktop Computers

Google Now is a product of Google family which is currently running a pre-release version for Desktop Computers. Initially it was created for Android and recently it has added a version for Apple and Desktop PC. This product can be use via Google Chrome. Most of chrome user recently using 33 version but Canary nightly build on Chrome 34 version has integrated Google Now which can be identify by a Flag. To enable this feature just you have to click on Flag.

Generally Google Now will work as your personal assistant by monitoring your web search and it will also give you couple of alert for weather, call a contact, book your flights, events reminder, alarm clock and traffic information. This service will give you the answer of your many questions.

Google Now is work silently but after first installation it require time to understand you. It will collect information about your movement, likings by using GPRS. And after that it will work like as your private secretary.

Thought this is running trial and still improving for Desktop computer. However there are not very noticeable critical malfunction appearing, still need to stabilize for proper utilization.

Google tries to catch users gradually by including some other exclusive feature Such as integrated direction, included crowd sourced traffic information from Waze, weather alert, stocks news, package tracking, sports results and instant updates which is completely websites based via Google chrome.

This will lead Google one step ahead in their software portfolio. Beforehand, Google has brought the most revolutionary searching system called Voice search for desktop as well as card style search results that Google builds which contain information displayed on the screen by "OK Google" voice command.

We are also aware about Google Drive which can be control from Desktop Computer.

There are more new exciting app will release soon for desktop computer later. However Google now is another best and useful product whichwill rock, however they didn�t formally announced about this. Hoping after releasing a stable version Google will go for official announcement.

YouTube streamlines New Comment Controlling system with automated filters

We know that YouTube is currently using Google Plus commenting system and you can make a comment on YouTube as well as can be publish comment on your Google plus profile. But YouTube uncovers a new comment controlling page with automated filters where you can add name, email address for approved users, Banned Users and Blacklisted. That made the whole YouTube commenting system awesome. But the commenting system is still Google Plus.

The new comment moderation system work under a Dashboard and user would able to interact with commentators in one place for uploaded videos.

However you would see the previous functions are remain same. Such as approve, deny, flag comments for spam or abuse, report, give thumbs up, watch pages and reply.

Automated Filters for Approve, Ban or Blacklist comments

In this improved comment controlling system YouTube will allow the creators to streamline actions. And for this action YouTube has set up filters. (e.g. approved users, banned users and blacklist). And the video author allowed comments on his or her own videos and channel.

Previously I have said under comment setting Approved and Banned users can be can be isolated by their name and email address. However in case of Blacklist users they would be simply banned by video author. In addition, video creator or channel owner can use these features as their weapons. Whatever they want they can do before publishing a comment.
