There was a trend of Guest blogging over the past years. We have seen it increase Guest writer�s image, name and fame. But over the last year Guest blogging become a way of link building strategy. Among many quality guest content writer poor content writer select this as a link building tactic. Google�s head of the spam sheriff declare war against all kinds of spam. Recently he has warned about all kinds of widget link schemer but beforehand he was warned about link building strategy through Guest blogging. But many blogger was ignorant about this warning. And recently another warning has given in 21st January 2014 by publishing a post that also share on his twitter profile.
According to sequence of warning you can see first Google said to use no-follow attribute on link and later on also said for moderation.

Okay, I�m calling it: if you�re using guest blogging as a way to gain links in 2014, you should probably stop. Why? Because over time it�s become a more and more spammy practice, and if you�re doing a lot of guest blogging then you�re hanging out with really bad company.
From his message we can understand guest blogging is dead as a link building tactic in 2014. Cutts also said-
��So stick a fork in it. : guest blogging is done; it�s just gotten too spammy. In general I wouldn�t recommend accepting a guest blog post unless you are willing to vouch for someone personally or know them well. Likewise, I wouldn�t recommend relying on guest posting, guest blogging sites, or guest blogging SEO as a link building strategy.
After publishing this article many webmaster those who are running their blog with multiple author has leave comment that will it be harmful for those website?
In response to those comments Matt cuts assure that high-quality multi-author blogs won�t affect those who has built specially for Search Engine Optimization purpose.
So guest writer be careful and there is a warning message for webmaster that they should stop posting guest article. However you can publish guest post those who hasn�t any do-follow link requirement. And there is a suggestion for guest writer that please don�t take it as a way of link building. There has more reason behind guest blogging such as exposure, branding, increased reach, community, so write guest article on for those reason not for link building.
