Comment Timestamp is important to display the comment date and time accurately. There are many blog which is not functioning correctly because of wrong setup of Comment Timestamp. Suppose you have a Blog and received couple of comments under a Blog post. But if your Blogs Comment Timestamp is not configuring correctly then you wont understand when and in what date that comment has been made. In case of large Blog which receive huge comments from readers they wont able to tract the newer and older comment. Comment Timestamp give information to commentator about last comments date and time. As a result other readers wont able to participate in comment thread.
In case of some Blogger template you will see an error if Comment Timestamp format is not configured properly. It will display Undefined Date instead of comment time and date. So configuring Comment Timestamp is necessary for Blogger to avoid any unexpected error. In this tutorial I will show you how to configure Comment Timestamp correctly in Blogger?

Human Readable Comment Timestamp Format
If you just use digit on your Comment Timestamp Format then it may not human readable Comment Timestamp. For example if you select below Comment Timestamp Format-
- 1/5/16
We will understand that 1st May, 2016 but this is not proper human readable Comment Timestamp Format. Instead of above Comment Timestamp Format if you select below Comment Timestamp, then it will be more human readable.
- 01 May, 2016
So, we should use human readable Comment Timestamp format for our website.
Search Engine Friendly Comment Timestamp Format
If you have optimized your site for schema.org markup then we should use different Comment Timestamp format. Otherwise search engine wont able to read your Comment Timestamp date. Search engine friendly and according to ISO time format we should use below Comment Timestamp format.
- 1/5/16
Though it doesnt affect significant your site but if you want to optimize your site for Yandex then you will see an error that Yandex cant read your post and comment date. So its better we should use the above Comment Timestamp format. But if you just focus on Google search engine then you shouldnt panic with it. But my recommendation is to optimize your site for all search engines.
